A/B American Black Walnut Veneered Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF)
The Dartmoor range of veneered panels are produced to our manufacturers grading guidelines. These have been developed over time to give a superior grade of veneered board with maximum consistency.
On each species our manufacturers have taken a high grade of veneer from there supplier and further enhanced this by improving in the areas that are important to our customers, based on feedback from a number of different market sectors.
Whilst it is easy to measure certain criteria, such as the width of veneer leaves, our manufacturers are aware of the importance of the overall aesthetic appearance of the panel. Over a period of time, our manufacturers have enhanced the Dartmoor grade further still by ensuring that there manufacturers have a clear understanding of how important the appearance of a whole sheet is.
Consistency is a key factor – and to that end our manufacturers have ensured that there manufacturers produce a maximum number of veneers from each “flitch” and that boards are then clearly marked in batches. Only by doing this can we offer what our manufacturers believe to be the most consistent and highly graded commercial veneered board range available to the market today.
Dartmoor is one of our manufacturers own brand high quality, premium range, specifically selected by our manufacturers team to meet more exacting requirements of our customers. Veneer width, colour consistency and grain structure area all taken into consideration when drawing up the Dartmoor specification.
If you are to cut the MDF or Ply yourself, we would always recommend a competent person cuts the panel and the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) should always be worn. There harmful fibres are known to cause health issues so goggles, dust mask, ear defenders and gloves should be worn. We would recommend a respirator with a P2 Filter rating should be considered compared to a disposable dust mask. It is also recommended that any cutting is undertaken in a well-ventilated area.
